Suzuki Swifts – Promising for 2015!
We’re ramping up our activities with the Suzuki Swifts in 2015.
After a fantastic track day with TogheiShop in October last year at Circuit Pau Arnos in the South of France, Our venerable 1.9 Track Swift is having it’s engine refreshed by SW Motorsport. Whilst the engine is out, we decided to add an SQS 5 speed Dog-Box, with Cusco LSD and SQS’s sequential shifter. SW are updating the wiring and other details on the car, whilst HQ Garage, will re-map the car to make sure we’re getting the most from the car.
Once this is complete… Co-ordSport staff members Shaun Minton and Jamie Exton will put the car through it’s paces in the Redline Oil 2015 Curborough Sprint Series, in Class 3B (Modified production Class 1600cc > 1998cc).
Shaun Minton – 20 years old, Sales Executive.
Jamie Exton – 22 years old, Accounts/Purchasing department.
On top of that, we’re supporting Mark Gamble’s new R2 spec. rally car, which is running a 1400cc engine in the BTRDA Rally Series. Livery will be as shown. R2 spec. parts will be developed, tested and proven on Mark’s BTRDA car, and also with Peter Gwynne the rallycross maestro.
Also we will be supporting Soren Pedersen in the Danish Rallycross Championship, plus a few selected rounds of the European Rallycross series. Soren’s car is a Super 1600 spec. with 200+hp, using ACL race bearings, ARP fasteners, Bridgeway rods, Kelford head and cams, PFC brakes and Sadev 6speed sequential transmission (all of which Co-ordSport supply).
Meanwhile, we are working closely with CTC Performance on various special upgrade kits for Swifts and Aldon are fitting a HKS Turbo upgrade to our SX4 4-Grip. This year CTC will be running his big, big-bore 2 litre Turbo Swift in Time Attack! The Green Mean Machine!
