Gamble Aiming High On Isle Of Man Return
Mark Gamble and Steve Link are making their return to the Isle Of Man next weekend after 5 years away, having won the Suzuki Swift Sport Cup on their last visit.
The pair will be tackling the Manx National Rally, starting in Douglas next Friday night, with 5 stages in the darkness, then continuing on through the Saturday, with a further 9 stages finishing back at the Grandstand at 3:43pm. They are seeded at 24 and first “National B”, amongst a quality field of almost 100 cars.
The R3 Race & Rally Repairs Driver will be taking a change of direction this year, with the Manx being the start of a MSA Asphalt Rally Championship Campaign. This decision came after a great first outing for the newly built “Wide Arched” Suzuki Swift S1600 on the AGBO Stages at Weston Park last month.
Mark decided to revert back to a “Wide Arched” car. A year of bad luck, resulted in only competing in one event, of which didn’t go quite to plan either.
The Swift crew are hoping for a much more successful year on the “Black Stuff”, and hope for some very strong results, after finding the car’s impressive capabilities last month.
The Swift will have a brand new livery for the 2016 season too, here is a sneak peak:
