New Member Of The Team: Liam & His Ford Focus ST
[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
I started working at Co-ordsport in July 2017, with the enthusiasm & General knowledge of enhancing a vehicles looks & performance, I joined the team bringing a nice new Focus ST-2 along with me
As you can guess it didn’t take long to be persuaded by the lads in the office to start ‘messing’
First, the Focus was lowered by 30mm all round on Whiteline lowering springs, & Eibachi’s pro 20mm spacer kit. This gave the focus a much better look on the road & gave me the confidence in the cars handling.
The focus was then enticed into having the well-known COBB Access port installed, which released a completely different side to the Focus, now having the availability to monitor & change different parameters via the Access port through the vehicles ECU, it gave the Focus that little bit more power it most desperately needed.
My First impressions of the Access port were very good, Noticing the difference in acceleration & Torque straight away.
August 2017:
Continuing to improve our Mk3 Focus ST Demo Car, we made a start at fitting some upgrades from down under.
First up is the Turbosmart Kompact Shortie Blow-Off
The Kompact Shortie is a direct replacement for the stock Diverter Valve. It is also a 100% Recirculating Blow-Off Valve which routes all the vented Air back into the Induction system.
Turbosmart have constructed this Valve from Aircraft Grade Aluminium, which is far better than the standard Plastic unit.
It also operates at a similar level of volume to the standard Valve, whilst eliminating Compressor Surge, allowing the ST’s Turbo to run to its full potential.
This kit was incredibly straight forward to fit and has a handy installation guide on YouTube for those who wish to install it themselves;
