During the early 2000s Co-ordSport established a facility for the production of specially engineered motorsports components, including composites and machined parts. X-Works Automotive still supplies clients such as Hyundai Motorsports and Prodrive. That Company and its engineers produced a one-off prototype sports car, utilising a carbon fibre monocoque and Lancer Evolution engine and running gear – 400+BHP and 4WD, with an overall weight of around 1000Kgs, the X-Car.
