Peter Collinson was now working for Midland Bank (after a short spell; at the Ministry of Defence) and had joined York Motor Club, also Trackrod Motor Club, which encouraged him to marshall and compete in rallies and autotests. Mixing with the likes of Steve Wood, Don Gosley, Chris Anderton, Chris Perkins, Ronnie Mackinnon and Rod Parkin, it was inevitable that the growing passion for motorsports was to only get stronger.
