Co-ordSport visits Steinbauer’s amazing Technical Facility in Austria

Last week we had the pleasure to visit Steinbauer’s fantastic technology development facility in Linz, Austria. This is where they prepare, develop and produce their ECU power modules, Power Pedal devices and much more. Their development projects have included helping the Austrian Mail Service manage and control the performance of their electric delivery vans, along with various military projects, including for the US Military.

This State of the Art building is Eco-friendly and provides very comfortable surroundings for the staff, with Steinbauer keen to produce as much as they can in-house – from ECU boards, programming, cabling to plastic injection moulding. The building includes a central workshop area (almost like a lab!), highly efficient dyno’s (they produce their own mobile dyno’s for tractors, but for cars they have a great facility with incredible air/temp. control) and they also have an in-house restaurant & bar for staff and visitors.

Their staff really are living the dream! Amongst the Company’s fleet in the car park were 2 x Tesla cars and several Electric Smart cars – this is a Company who are really forward looking.
