Co-ordSport Supported Driver Makes Promising Start To Racing Campaign

As you remember, less than 12 months ago Chris was a disabled guy with a dream. He worked hard to get as far as he could, succeeded in passing the MSA Extended ARDS Test, and has now been able to fund a race car.

Chris has now started his racing campaign in this years “Hot Hatch Challenge”.

Below are the reports for the latest two races Chris has participated in as well as some thoughts on the events from Chris.

Race Report- Howard’s Day

Well, despite all the time and efforts of Grant Motorsport over the last few weeks to get the car built and tested (including 24 hours straight on Sunday trying to get it ready), it wasn’t quite ready in time for qualifying, so I had to start from back of grid. But, the car felt great, and I can already feel the potential in the car! Having said that, despite not having any testing/qualifying, I finished 16th out of 24, which I’m very proud of.

During the race I improved my best lap time by just over 10 seconds, finishing with a 1:30, the car will now be tested to evaluate how much progress can be made before upgrades become necessary.

The car feels amazing to drive, and there’s more development to come from the car, already optimistic about the next race!

Race Report- Mayday Madness

A pretty good days racing!

Qualifying went well, learnt more about the car, gained more track experience and am building friendships too!

Finished 18 of 20, but had a lot of good action. 1st Race best time was 1:30, did a 1:30 in qualifying, then in the race I beat a VVC metro off the start line, stayed in front of him all race, and put in a 1:27! Team reckon the car as is can do a 1:25, without certain upgrades. So pretty good!

Would like to thank Chris Dawes thanks for my first ever interview with the commentary team.
