Alexander meets the public before PBRC campaign!

Sunday 2nd March was the venue for ‘PBRC Live’ 2003, the initial meeting up of drivers and co-drivers before the Championship gets properly underway from Wrexham town centre.

The venue was the extensive area surrounding the huge RS Components building at Bermuda Park, a couple of miles south of Nuneaton. A special stage had been marked out, consisting of just over a mile of track – tarmac for the first half and gravel for the second.

There were a total of 15 cars with drivers/co-drivers displaying their stunning rally cars for the estimated 3,000 people that attended and the sunny weather definitely helped the occasion.

Paul Alexander, along with his Promax prepared Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 7 was there to give rides to spectators of the event and have people sit inside the rally car to have photographs taken. One particular young lad, Thomas Collins was over the moon with being able to sit in the car and have his photograph taken alongside the current Evolution Challenge leader after his spectacular win at Rallye Sunseeker the previous weekend..

Mr. Collins stated, “We all had a fantastic day out, it was great to see all the drivers and co-drivers in action and to meet such friendly people especially yourself. Thankyou for taking time out to have your photo taken with our son Thomas and letting him sit in your car, both my wife Catherine and myself were quite jealous of him.”

After such great support we all are hoping to have this superb turn out again on the International Rally of Wales, which is due to begin in Wrexham, Town Center on Friday 21st March 2003.
